Victoria restaurants reputedly  number more per capita than anywhere in North America (except for San Francisco)! We have menus here of local restaurants - in Brentwood Bay near the Butchart Gardens, in Royal Oak, Sidney as well as downtown Victoria restaurants. These include all major ethnic foods and west coast dining experiences including numerous seafood restaurants. We can advise about directions and assist with reservations if requested.

The English influence includes tearooms serving afternoon teas in elegant settings and fish and chips in ... well, less elegant establishments.

Since there are so many places for dining in Victoria we are only presenting a small selection of restaurants in Victoria on these pages (see the following links). We have to admit to not having visited them all (yet!) so have added a few to increase the variety of options for our bed and breakfast guests. Vancouver Island offers a wide array of seafood (well it is an island) and the rolling countryside adds to the breadth of menus. Add to this a gentle mediterranean climate in which just about anything seems to grow and you have the ingredients for excellent meals.
