The Butchart Gardens are a joy to visit at any time of year. Photo opportunities abound at this wonderful Victoria attraction. The variety of displays is a joy. Here is the mirror ball in the Rose Garden, the ever-changing Ross Fountain and autumnal colour in the Sunken Garden.
The famous Sunken Garden resulted from the vision of Jennie Butchart, transforming an old limestine quarry. The entry to it is breathtaking.
An impressive variety of summer concerts can be enjoyed (at no extra charge). On the right is an impressionistic lake scene from the old quarry.

Our favourite has to be the Japanese Garden. Take your time to follow its rambling paths. Its summer lighting is sooo romantic!
