B&B breakfasts - at our Victoria Canada bed and breakfast

A selection of B&B breakfasts are offered at the Gazebo bed and breakfast Victoria Canada. Breakfast is taken seriously here to 'set you up' for your day - you may not need to buy any lunch!

Being fully inclusive, ie included in the room rate, it makes the bed and breakfast great value. (Yesterday, 28th March 2009, we saw a breakfast menu at a very ordinary Victoria hotel. The main courses started at $11 and the "extras" (tea or coffee, juice, fresh fruit, yogurt, toast) totalled a further $17 so two people would pay a further $60, with tax, whereas we provide them all at no extra charge! (We also make no charge for parking which can be $30 in a downtown Victoria hotel, or for movies, telephone, WiFi and use of our sauna.)

You have a choice of three formats:
a) a full breakfast served in the morning room at 8.30 or 9.00am,
b) a continental breakfast on a tray which you can enjoy in your room, on the terrace or in the gardens between 8.00 and 10.00am,
c) a packed breakfast if you need to leave early.

Full B&B breakfasts

These memorable B&B breakfasts are candlelit multi-course meals served in the lovely surroundings of the morning room, served elegantly on fine china with linen napkins and silver service. Breakfast is served at 8.30 or 9.00am.

The meal varies each day; scrumptiously tasty, nutritious and attractively presented. For example, on the morning this was written, our four guests from Hawaii enjoyed:

orange juice
freshly ground coffee or cappuccino, or a selection of fine black, green and herbal teas including Silk Road black and herbal teas
a fruit plate with seasonal soft fruits and berries; today including local raspberries, melons, kiwi and also bananas
strawberry fool (a tangy yet smooth English treat)
baked eggs, one of Linda's specialities: freshly laid eggs baked with a blend of Swiss cheeses, succulent Black Forest ham, fresh Roma tomatoes and locally grown asparagus (or other seasonal vegetables)
muffins straight from the oven, with home-made preserves
one of these guests had a special diet to which we catered accordingly (though we can not provide for vegan diets).

A continental breakfast

Ideal if you want an earlier start or extra time in bed. It is served between 8.00 and 10.00am - just pre-arrange the time. The meal includes:

orange juice
freshly ground coffee or cappuccino or a selection of fine black, green and herbal teas
fruit salad
fruit yogurt
artisan breads, croissants with home-made preserves

A packed B&B breakfast

If you need an early departure we can provide a packed breakfast if informed by noon the previous day. The meal typically includes:

orange juice
coffee and a selection of teas are provided in your room
fresh fruit
yogurt
bagels with cream cheese
apple fritters or pastries
