Victoria BC bed and breakfast - autumn garden coloursOur Victoria BC bed and breakfast is gloriously coloured in the fall with rich autumnal garden colours. We always have mixed feelings at this time of year; it's approaching the end of our busy season yet we can look forward to some rest. Further, we miss the warmth of summer but love the fall colours. While you are here a visit to the Butchart Gardens is well worthwhile since their Japanese Garden looks glorious.
Below are three scenes alongside the manor house by the path leading back to the cottage and guest rooms.
Three favourites below at the B&B : firstly the virginia creeper in its younger days - note the ball of fire at its base and then see how each branch is a different colour. Then two images of a Japanese maple in our oriental garden - the colours are real (no Photoshop employed, honestly!).
The bed and breakfast off-street parking encircles an "island" of trees and shrubs shown in this sequence below.
Here we see a younger potted Japanese maple, then the rear orchard (I wonder how many million leaves we have to rake and remove each year) and lastly a view taken over the fence by our neighbour.
